Simple Start Guide for the Cooltronics Digital Photo Keyrings

Quick Start Set-Up

1. Within the package you will find a mini-CD which contains the PHOTOVIEW 3.0 software.  This software is required to transfer photos between the computer and the Digital Photo Keyring, if you have an earlier version of the software, you can download the latest version HERE.

2. Also on the mini-CD is the Windows 98 Driver, this must be installed if you are using Windows 98 as your operating system, for all later operating systems including Windows XP and Vista, no additional drivers are required as Plug & Play technology is used.

3. Insert the Mini-CD in your CD Drive and use Windows Explorer to access the files.

4. Double Click on the PHOTOVIEW 3.0 icon to start installation.  The installation process is self explanitory and follows the same process as most other software.  Once installed you should have the following short cut icon on your desktop.  IMPORTANT - You will not be able to run the software UNTIL the Digital Photo Viewer has been connected to the computer using the USB cable provided.

5. Connect the USB cable supplied with your Digital Photo Keyring to a spare USB slot on your computer.

6. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the small USB connection on the Digital Photo Keyring.  The LCD screen on the keyring should light up and offer two options (USB CHARGE & USB UPDATE), The menu options are similar for both models and are controlled using the UP/DOWN and SELECT buttons on the unit as detailed below:-

7. Use the FORWARD & BACKWARD key and SELECT "USB UPDATE", the LCD display should then read "UPDATING", and your computer will probably indicate that "NEW DEVICE HAS BEEN FOUND"

8. If you see the following message detailed below, just click "CANCEL"

9. Double Click on the PHOTOVIEW icon to launch the application, you should now see the following screen.

10. The boxes have been added to explain how to use the program, once a photo is in the BROWSER, RIGHT CLICK & HOLD the mouse button over the picture, you can then position the view frame on the photo - See below:

11. When you have finished and all the photos you require are shown on DEVICE (RIGHT) side of the screen, we are now ready to transfer all these photos to the Digital Photo Keyring.  To do this, simply CLICK on the SYNCHRONIZE button at the top right of the DEVICE screen.

12. When pressed you will see the progress bar increase until all photos have been transferred to the Digital Photo Keyring.
13. To finish, close down the PHOTOVIEW application and remove the USB cable from the Digital Photo Keyring.
